PERFORMANCE

EXCEPTIONALLY DURABLE PLATFORM

The new RX is built on our GA-K platform with an extended wheelbase and additional crossbars and reinforcements to enhance durability. This extra strength has allowed Lexus engineers to fine-tune the suspension more precisely, improving both performance and comfort. The new platform is 90 kg lighter and has a lower center of gravity. The wheelbase has been extended by 60 mm without changing the overall length, reducing body roll. The track width is wider, and the wheels are larger, creating a more confident stance and improved grip.

DIRECT 4/E-FOUR DRIVE SYSTEM

The power delivery of the RX 500h is controlled by DIRECT4, an exclusive Lexus drive technology. This innovative system continuously balances power and torque between the front and rear axles in any driving situation with greater precision than any mechanical system. By creating a stronger connection between the steering and the road, DIRECT4 ensures enhanced handling stability and exceptional driving dynamics at high speeds. In the new RX 350h and RX 450h+, the E-FOUR electric all-wheel drive system has been improved to ensure that the 40 kW rear electric motor is always engaged, providing greater torque and traction.

ADAPTIVE SUSPENSION

Enhancing overall performance, the new multi-link rear suspension in the RX delivers exceptional lateral stability and compression resistance. It provides greater torque while significantly reducing noise, vibration, and harshness. The Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) is specially tuned to improve handling in sharp turns by precisely controlling the damping force of all four wheels, ensuring a smoother and more responsive driving experience.

RX 450h+

Exceptionally quiet and with low overall CO₂ emissions of 1.1–1.2 g/km, the RX 450h+ Lexus Plug-in Hybrid raises the bar for electrified vehicles. Delivering 309 DIN hp, it achieves an exhilarating 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 6.5 seconds, thanks to its high-performance plug-in hybrid system that combines a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with a motor/generator and an 18.1 kWh lithium-ion battery. With a class-leading all-electric driving range of up to 69 km (combined cycle, up to 90 km in urban driving), the RX 450h+ can travel at speeds of up to 135 km/h in EV mode.

RX 500h

The new and remarkable RX 500h Performance Hybrid delivers high-end electrified performance and is the first Lexus hybrid with a turbocharger. Powered by an all-new hybrid architecture featuring a 2.4-liter turbo engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission, it produces 371 DIN hp (273 kW), enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds. By creating a stronger connection between the steering and the road, the DIRECT4 drive system ensures exceptional handling stability, even at high speeds.

RX 350h

Providing comfort and confidence in every driving situation, the RX 350h Lexus Self-Charging Hybrid seamlessly coordinates power from a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and electric motor(s), delivering 250 DIN hp (184 kW). This results in 0–100 km/h acceleration in 7.9 seconds, along with exceptional efficiency, featuring CO₂ emissions of 142–149 g/km and fuel consumption of 6.3–6.6 L/100 km. And since the system recharges itself while driving or braking, you’ll always have an outstanding driving range at your disposal.

PROACTIVE DRIVING ASSIST WITH ACTIVE STEERING

Equipped with our latest obstacle detection assist system, the innovative new Proactive Driving Assist with Active Steering in the RX detects road users and objects ahead, proactively controlling braking and steering to maintain a safe distance. Additionally, the Deceleration Assist feature helps by automatically reducing speed when you lift off the accelerator before a curve or approaching a slower vehicle, ensuring smoother and safer speed reduction. The system also detects upcoming turns and adjusts the steering assist function to promote safe and precise cornering.

BLADESCAN® ADAPTIVE HIGH-BEAM SYSTEM (AHS)

Our innovative BladeScan® Adaptive High-Beam System (AHS) provides a wider and more precise illumination compared to conventional LED headlights. It works by projecting light from twelve LEDs onto a blade-shaped mirror rotating at 6,000 rpm, which then passes through a lens to create a broad and evenly distributed headlight beam. Comprehensive testing has shown that pedestrians and road signs can be detected earlier, improving safety without dazzling other drivers.

12 SRS AIRBAGS

In addition to an exceptionally strong passenger safety cell, the RX is equipped with 12 SRS airbags to enhance occupant protection: • Dual-stage airbag and knee airbag for the driver • Single-stage airbag for the front passenger • Central airbag to reduce contact between the driver and front passenger • Side airbags for the front seats • Curtain airbags extending across both sides of the cabin These features provide enhanced safety for all occupants in the event of a collision.
